More than a month since I’ve said a word here…thousand apologies! What’s been going on, you might wonder? Here’s just a gist:

~~I changed positions at work, but more like a promotion up. I’ve switched from the front office department to the room service (F&B) department as a shift supervisor. Lots of learning to do, and getting to know my team and the dynamics that it’s made of. Unfortunately, with this step up, it doesn’t improve my working hours. I’m still all over the clock with unpredictable days off. Oh well. Hence is the working life in the hotel industry, right? So it’s work, work, and more work…

~~Josue is keeping busy doing some contracting work with his interior designer client. Currently occupied working on another project–renovating a unit at a high-rise condominium. He’s contemplating going back to school for some interior designing courses, at least enough to get him certified and licensed. We hope to get him going in the Spring. Josue’s usually not big into school, but since he’s making such an effort to make this happen, I know for sure that he’s serious about what he wants to do next, and I can’t help but be excited and supportive of his decision. So Lord willing, we’ll get him going back to school in no time!

~~Oh, and did you hear that Dallas got hit with several tornadoes a couple of days ago?? WILD!

~~We are about a month away from going back to Malaysia!!! Counting down the days until I get to see my sweet parents again, and show off my home country to Josue and 2 of our good American friends who are coming along with us. On our way there, we’ll also get to spend about a day in Seoul (layover), which you know I’m SO pumped about since I’ve been wanting to go there to feed my obsession of anything related to Korea. Which brings me to my next point…

~~I haven’t had time to catch up on my Kdrama fixes, but I still try and keep up with my fave K-entertainment boys Rain and Nichkhun with his 2PM band. Call it an obsession or hobby, this helps me take my mind off the madness of work. ^ ^

Rain is busy going all over Asia shooting for his upcoming new drama “S1. Plan B” which begins airing end of this month (so excited!), and he’s about to have a concert in Manila this weekend–first time for Philippines!

Khun and 2PM are always busy with performances, appearances and CF shooting. They just celebrated 2 years since their first debut and had an amazing and memorable session of concerts in Korea. So proud of them!

So all in all, life has been good for us and God has truly blessed us. For everything that has been good and bad, we know we are going through them for various reasons, and we just keep truckin’ along. We miss our family and friends, and would love to spend more time with everyone if our spare time wasn’t so limited. But trust that everyone is in our thoughts and prayers.

If you’ve caught up with a few of my blog entries from before, you’d have remembered that I got to see 2PM in a mini concert when they came to Dallas together with the Wonder Girls in June. They were the opening act for the Girls (they both belong to the same entertainment company JYPE), and this was my first time seeing them live. I’ve always enjoyed their music, but never before pay much attention to them personally. After seeing them perform, and watching them interact with the fans, I was hooked. There was something about these talented young men that caught me like nothing before, at least not since Rain. And among the 6 guys in the band, my attention has been purely on one of the older ones (‘older’ is a relative term, he’s still 9 years younger than yours truly!!). He is famously and lovingly known as Nichkhun, and I must say, he is most definitely my latest Kpop ‘obsession’.

In certain aspects, Khun reminds me of how Rain used to be during the early years of his debut. More than just the fact that he’s part of a talented musical act, he is incredibly down-to-earth, kind, well-mannered and considerate towards not just his bandmates but fans and strangers alike. Unlike the others, he is a foreigner from Thailand who trained hard and settled in Korea; having to learn Korean (he’s fluent in English and Thai), singing and dancing from scratch. With his baby-face good looks, he’s quite the eye-candy *wink*, but more than that his bright and sweet personality really stands out among the crowd. And he has certainly won me over.

Anyway, since the concert, I’ve been looking up on him over the internet and reading up on his life story and how he came about to being a part of 2PM. YouTube has been my bestfriend, and Soompi forum has helped burn the fire of my new obsession, haha…Rain will forever be my first Kpop love, but Khun is a close 2nd at this point. Rain is currently busy filming his upcoming drama, so for now, I’m just going to have to settle with our beloved Thai prince, Khun. ^ ^
